Because you deserve time for you.
Not because you're trying to 'get your body back'. Not because you've eaten too much. Not because you need a beach bod for your next holiday. Because you matter.
Because you're more than just 'Mum'.
I'm a mum of two boys, a fitness instructor and the person behind R.I.S.E Through Motherhood.
But before any of those I am just a person. A person who likes yoga, gardening, climbing up mountains and a cold glass of wine, or fizz!
Although if I'm honest, I don't get quite as much time for those things as I'd like...
Well, maybe the wine.
Like so many mums, I've spent a lot of time putting everyone else first. And I'm learning that looking after myself isn't selfish. That taking time for me doesn't mean I'm taking something away from my family. And that I can prioritise myself with as little guilt as possible.
I'm still figuring it all out.
I haven't discovered the perfect routine, the magic remedy, the ultimate affirmation or the secret to balancing motherhood, life and everything in between.
And I don't pretend to have.
What I do know is how easy it is to lose yourself amongst the beautiful chaos that is motherhood. I've experienced the physical and emotional changes that come with having children, and I've learnt that getting your strength back isn't just about muscles.
It's about confidence.
It's about feeling comfortable in your body.
It's about remembering that you're more than just 'Mum', 'Mummy' or 'Mumma'.
And sometimes you look up and realise you have spent so much time being Mum that you have forgotten about you.
That's where R.I.S.E came from.
R.I.S.E has grown from my own experiences of motherhood, rebuilding my strength, finding my confidence and learning to reconnect with both my body and mind.
I wanted to create something that wasn't about becoming the woman you were before children.
It was about reconnecting with the woman you are today.
A place where mums can move, sweat, laugh, talk, learn, support each other and feel good about themselves.
A place where you don't have to have it all together.
Because I certainly don't.
So let's figure it out together!
I want you to leave every R.I.S.E session thinking:
"I'm so glad I came."
That's the feeling I'm trying to create.
Not because you're trying to 'get your body back'. Not because you've eaten too much. Not because you need a beach bod for your next holiday. Because you matter.
We'll help you build strength safely and progressively, while respecting the changes your body has been through.
R.I.S.E is about community as much as it is about fitness. Come for the workout. Stay for the friendships, laughs and feeling of "these women just get it."
You don't need to be fit. You don't need to know what you're doing. You don't need matching gym clothes. You just need to turn up. We'll meet you where you are.
